The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient execution of daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory control, material movement, picking, packing, and shipping. This role directly supervises warehouse employees, assigns daily work, monitors performance and service levels, resolves operational issues, and builds consistent processes that support Manufacturing, Customer Support, Planning, and Purchasing. The Warehouse Supervisor remains hands-on in the operation while providing clear leadership, training, coaching, and accountability for the team.
Essential Functions:
- Directly supervise warehouse employees, including daily work assignment, workflow coordination, attendance oversight, coaching, training, and performance feedback.
- Plan and prioritize receiving, put-away, material replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping activities to meet production and customer requirements.
- Ensure merchandise received is verified against receiving documents; investigate discrepancies or damages and ensure receipts are entered accurately in the ERP system.
- Oversee accurate and timely picking and delivery of materials for manufacturing and assembly jobs, as well as shipment of customer orders, service parts, consumables, canisters, and equipment.
- Own warehouse inventory accuracy by coordinating cycle counts and physical inventory activities, reviewing variances, identifying root causes, and ensuring corrective transactions are completed.
- Approve and monitor inventory adjustments, transfers, location maintenance, obsolete stock removal, and warehouse space optimization activities in accordance with established controls.
- Monitor warehouse workload, staffing, priorities, and performance measures; escalate capacity, service, quality, or resource concerns to the Manager, Supply Chain and Logistics.
- Establish and maintain standard work, visual controls, housekeeping expectations, and efficient product flow throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, documented procedures, equipment requirements, and all applicable health and safety practices.
- Coordinate equipment inspections and safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, picker machines, and other warehouse equipment; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Partner with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Engineering, and other teams to resolve material, inventory, and fulfillment issues.
- Use ERP data and operational reports to identify recurring errors, improve inventory integrity, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, cross-training, development, and coverage planning for warehouse employees.
- Lead daily team communication, reinforce priorities and expectations, and maintain accurate records related to warehouse activities.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an asset.
- Ability to operate, or obtain authorization to operate, warehouse equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and picker machines.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field is an asset.
- Five or more years of progressive warehouse, distribution, inventory control, or logistics experience.
- At least two years of experience leading or supervising warehouse employees is preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, regulated, medical equipment, or similarly quality-focused environment is an asset.
