We are looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to support the efficient flow of materials, products, and information across our supply chain operations. This role will be involved in procurement, inventory management, material planning, supplier coordination, logistics, and ERP data management to help ensure materials are available to support production and customer delivery commitments. 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

What You’ll Do

  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders to support production schedules and operational needs.
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, shortages, delivery timelines, schedule changes, and quality concerns. 
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, delivery commitments, and order fulfillment. 
  • Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, purchasing, and ERP data. 
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock availability for production and customer requirements. 
  • Analyze inventory trends and help identify opportunities to reduce excess, obsolete materials, and carrying costs.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Customer Support, Warehouse, and supplier teams to resolve material availability or supply chain issues. 
  • Support material planning, demand forecasting, production scheduling, and planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, and reorder points.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
  • Work with freight carriers, customs brokers, and logistics providers to support timely deliveries. 
  • Generate and analyze supply chain reports and performance metrics, including supplier performance, inventory accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turns. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, process efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence. 

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, logistics, or a related role.
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management software. 
  • Experience coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and cross-functional stakeholders. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting and data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability. 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a manufacturing, automation, technology, healthcare, or regulated industry environment. 
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Business Central, Finance & Operations, SAP, Epicor, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or master data clean-up initiatives.
  • Professional supply chain designation or certification such as SCMP, APICS/ASCM, CPIM, or CSCP. 
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and root cause problem-solving methods.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, requiring a combination of remote work and in-office collaboration.

The Supply Chain Specialist will regularly work from ARxIUM's Winnipeg office and engage with warehouse and manufacturing operations to support procurement, inventory management, material planning, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires regular use of ERP systems, Microsoft Office applications, and other business software, while effectively managing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
